My Bride Diary #2
4 weeks until the wedding! OMG! The time is just flying by.
This week has been exceptionally busy at work so there has literally been no spare time to think of weddings. Thank goodness for the weekend.
Saturday, we found a beautiful restaurant who are happy to give us a corner to celebrate our wedding and we have booked for 12.00 midday as most of the people come into the restaurant between 1pm and 2pm so we were told.
We are just going with their usual a la carte menu where everyone can choose whatever they wish to eat, and we will pick up the tab at the end. With only 12 guests and that is including us, this should work well. That way we don’t need to decide on food that suits everyone they can do that for themselves. It is really very easy when you think about it.
So that is the reception all sorted.
Sunday, we went off to our second visit to the celebrant. Today Pamela had all the necessary forms ready for signing and checking. She also read through the ceremony that she had written. It was amazing! She captured our story perfectly. John actually said to her – “are you sure you weren’t there?” The ceremony is just us. It is beautifully written, expresses our feelings and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We are so looking forward to the day.
We even have been offered the use of rooms to get dressed there if we wish. Did I mention the we are holding the ceremony on the lawn in front of the celebrant’s house? It is a spectacular house set on top of the hill looking down the valley to the coast and even to Brisbane in the distance. She has been so lovely throughout the whole planning. Highly recommend her and her house.
