My first work day at a wedding venue was an engaging experience that helped capture a feel of how your hard work is easily paid off by the happiness and joy shown by others. Although there were signs of heavy rain, the day went as planned and it was a lovely afternoon. The ceremony contained many elements, one of which was musical performances played by Wes Taylor. The use of having a musician at the ceremony made it more intimate and personal, which was a nice touch. The wedding had a rustic vibe that really caught the eye, it was elegant and matched the surroundings well. The tables had hessian table runners, round wood boards, candles and small flowers in jars. There were huge table pieces made of fresh, beautiful flowers that complimented the other elements nicely. My first day working at a wedding venue was at times stressful, but in the end, it was worth it because of the happiness it gives the bride, groom and the guests. Overall it was a pleasant experience and it has taught me a lot about the importance of organisation, time management and attention to detail. It’s the little things that count.
